We, in India making Classic Wines, quite new to world, by this,
We mean the traditional French Style, from specially grown grapes, root stocks
of which are imported and grown on Sangli-Maharashtra ( India ) Soil, Hills of
Sahyadri, long Sunny days, dry climate let grape grown exact resemblance to French
vineyards and taste of the wine itself.
The name wine was known as 'Drakshasava' from prehistoric
period, Artefacts of the great Indus civilisation, contemporaneous with Egypt of
the Pharaohs have indicated its use. Wine, then known as Somarasa, was
associated with Indra, the King of God, a most popular deity of the Hindu
pantheon. Somarasa was poured as libation and drunk at religious festivals.
